Phoenix Geophysics Ltd.
Save money--Focus your drilling with geophysics.
 |
Since 1975, Phoenix Geophysics Ltd. of Toronto, Ontario, has provided geophysical instrumentation and services to clients in 75 countries and has carried out SSMT® magnetotelluric surveys for many of the world’s largest mining companies. Advanced Phoenix technology is used in exploration for mineral, groundwater, hydrocarbon, and geothermal resources; in environmental and engineering geophysics; and in earthquake prediction and deep crustal research. Measurements made by Phoenix instrumentation include magnetotellurics (MT: broadband, audio, and controlled source); time- and frequency-domain induced polarization; time- and frequency-domain EM; and resistivity. In 1992, a Phoenix survey from surface detected a metallic ore body at a depth of 1,750 m, triggering the present wave of interest in MT as a deep-looking exploration technique. Successes followed in South America, Papua New Guinea, the Sudbury Basin and Labrador (Canada). Recent Phoenix MT surveys and innovative interpretation methods detected new kimberlites in Arkhangelsk, Russia, and in western Africa. |
