Abitibi Geophysics Inc. Let Abitibi help you find a mine
Abitibi Geophysics provides the highest quality geophysical data acquisition, processing and interpretation services to help its clients find precious and base metals, diamonds, uranium and other mineral resources. For more than 28 years, Abitibi has built an international reputation for developing innovative solutions and top-quality products that are delivered safely and on time. Abitibi Geophysics now offers borehole gravity surveys using the Scintrex Gravilog system. Recent time-domain electromagnetic developments enable detection of conductive mineralized targets in excess of 1,000 metres and an improved range of target conductivity detection for poor conductors such as zinc, through to highly conductive targets such as nickel. For disseminated sulphides, Abitibi Geophysics increased the radius of exploration around boreholes to 250 metres using its unique Hole-to-Hole 3D Induced Polarization system. Abitibi’s mission is to help you find a mine through the intelligent application of geophysics. Strategic partnership enquiries are welcome.

Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd., geophysical instrumentation Explore deeper and smarter with 3D Pulse EM
Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd. designs and manufactures geophysical equipment, including the PULSE EM (or PEM) system - the leading time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) system for surface and borehole mineral exploration. Crone also provides contract surveys and consulting (see Geophysical Surveys section). Since 1962, Crone has pioneered instrument design and method development. They developed the first commercial TDEM system in the 1970s, and continued to lead the industry with deep borehole logging and fully digital receivers. In 1991, they were the first to provide three-component TDEM measurements down boreholes. During the 1990s, a step-response data transformation was introduced, using unique features of Crone’s PEM system. Soon after, SQUID and fluxgate magnetometers were first used with Pulse EM and are now used routinely for deep surface and borehole exploration and in sensor arrays with full-waveform recording. Flexibility and state-of-the-art technology are what makes Pulse EM the ultimate TDEM system.
Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd., geophysical surveys Explore deeper and smarter with 3D Pulse EM
Crone Geophysics & Exploration Ltd. provides worldwide geophysical surveys and manufactures PULSE EM equipment – the leading time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) system for surface and borehole mineral exploration (see Geophysical Instrumentation section). With a staff of experienced operators, geophysicists and manufacturing personnel, Crone delivers top-quality survey design, data collection, processing, and interpretation with an unmatched level of support from the people who built the equipment. Crone’s crews are trained extensively to safely and efficiently collect high-quality data under difficult conditions, anywhere in the world. Since 1962, Crone has had a proud record of detecting and pin-pointing conductors at great distances from boreholes or from surface, and new tools such as SQUID and fluxgate sensors, sensor arrays, and higher power have added to that success story. Significant cost savings in the exploration for base metals, gold, uranium, diamonds and other minerals can therefore be realized with Crone’s leading-edge geophysical instrumentation and services.
Do you need to know where your borehole goes? Icefield Tools Corporation has manufactured state-of-the-art borehole survey equipment since 1991. Inclinometers are available for rental or purchase. The slim-line Gyro Shot® gyroscopically oriented tool can be used inside drill rods and in highly magnetic ground. Icefield also offers the lower cost MI5 magnetically oriented survey tool that is typically used through-the-bit. Both instruments will run inside AQ or larger rods and use field replaceable alkaline batteries. Lithium batteries and heat shields for high-temperature operation are available. Icefield can provide running gear for applications ranging from traditional wireline coring to large-bore geotechnical drilling (up to 48 inches in diameter).
IFG Corporation Quality geophysical Instrumentation since 1979
IFG Corporation is Canadian-owned and has been designing and manufacturing instrumentation for geophysics since 1979. IFG began the development of a new generation of borehole instrumentation in 1984. These new instruments take advantage of the dramatic improvements in semi-conductor technology, which includes reductions in both size and consumption of power. Concentrating primarily on small diameter borehole equipment (35- and 40-mm diameter), IFG has developed a wide range of borehole sensors to meet the needs of the mining, geotechnical and environmental industries. IFG is a full-service company that offers sales and leasing along with complete research and development service. This service can accommodate new requirements or integrate systems and probes from other manufacturers. Specification sheets, technical notes, advice and prices are available at your request.
