e3 Plus: A Framework for Responsible Exploration was developed by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and launched in March 2009 to help mineral exploration companies improve their corporate social responsibility (CSR) practices. The framework was compiled through extensive consultation with industry representatives, NGOs, academia, government and communities. e3 Plus is built around eight principles for responsible exploration, and includes guidance notes and toolkits with comprehensive information on social responsibility, environmental stewardship, and health and safety. e3 Plus is a free information resource accessible through the PDAC website: www.pdac.ca/e3Plus.
