Control Chemical (1989) Corporation has been a manufacturer of high-performance drilling fluid systems and proprietary vegetable oil lubricants under the MATEX brand name for 22 years. Starting with a facility of 6,000 square-feet, MATEX products are now manufactured in a modern plant of 50,000 square-feet. In 2010 and 2011, more than $800,000 was invested in plant upgrades to increase production and manufacturing efficiency, along with Control Chemical’s commitment to plant and employee safety programs. These products include drilling polymers, foams, tool lubricants, blasthole stabilizers, thread compound, rock drill oil, and non-alcoholic anti-freeze fluids. Control Chemical’s unique expertise has been mainly focused on the mining industry for diamond drilling, percussive drilling and blasthole stabilization (underground and surface) using proprietary fluid technology. The MATEX system is known for increased core recovery, reduced downtime and simplified user-friendly fluid systems. R.D.O. 302 E.S., a vegetable oil rock-drill lubricant, is the industry standard for performance.
