The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) is a national association representing the mineral exploration and development industry. The PDAC has more than 10,000 individual and corporate members, and encourages the highest standards of technical, environmental, safety and social practices in Canada and around the world. Areas covered by the association’s wide range of advocacy work include Aboriginal affairs, corporate social responsibility (CSR), finance and taxation, geosciences, human resources, education, business insurance, land access, and securities regulations. The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s (PDAC) Convention also hosts the mineral industry’s largest annual convention in downtown Toronto. The 2012 convention attracted more than 30,000 attendees, including 7,500 international delegates from 125 countries. The 2014 convention will take place March 2 - 5 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
