Phoenix Geophysics Ltd.
Save money--Focus your drilling with geophysics.

Since 1975, Phoenix Geophysics Ltd. of Toronto has provided geophysical instrumentation and services to clients in 75 countries and has carried out surveys for most of the world’s largest mining companies. Phoenix specializes in magnetotellurics (MT), audiofrequency MT (AMT), controlled-source AMT (CSAMT), induced polarization (IP), and EM in time and frequency domain. These techniques identify subsurface anomalies that can signal the presence of base and precious metals and diamond-bearing kimberlites. High-sensitivity phase IP was instrumental in mapping the weak IP anomalies associated with the Hemlo gold orebody in Ontario, Canada, in the 1980s. In 1992, a Phoenix surface MT survey detected a nickel-copper ore body at a depth of 1,750 m, triggering a wave of interest in MT as a deep-looking exploration technique. Recent Phoenix MT, AMT, and CSAMT surveys detected new kimberlites in Arkhangelsk, Russia, and western Africa. Recent surface AMT surveys in Canada mapped known kimberlites at depth.
