Geonics Limited
The world leader in electromagnetic geophysical instrumentation for exploration and the environment

Geonics Limited is the world leader in the research and development of electromagnetic (EM) geophysical instrumentation. Incorporated in 1962, Geonics has an established history in the production of reliable instrumentation for the resource industries. Using its more than 40 years of experience in the design of time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) systems, Geonics has developed the versatile PROTEM TDEM System. The PROTEM Receiver is combined with any of five available transmitters to cover a full range of applications, from shallow surface and in-mine environmental investigations to deep, three-component surface and downhole exploration for mineral and geothermal targets. Recently introduced PROTEM CM and G-TEM consoles offer conveniences in portability and functionality. Applications in resource exploration are further supported by surface and downhole fluxgate magnetometer sensors. Industry-standard Ground Conductivity Meters address requirements for near-surface site characterization; common applications within the mining industry include the mapping of hydro-geologic structure, brine contamination, acid-rock drainage and abandoned mine works.
