COREM is a research consortium of mining processing and services helping its members and the mineral industry worldwide. Recognized as a world-class centre for the optimization of mineral dressing processes, COREM provides a wide range of mineral processing and analytical services to companies (members and others) that explore and develop ore bodies, transform or recycle mineral substances. Its staff of more than 150 employees is able to carry out the most complex projects and positions. COREM as the largest organization in Canada is totally devoted to mineral processing R/D. COREM’s pilot plant is unique in Canada for its size and diversity of equipment. Its analytical laboratory has an impressive range of instruments (ICP, XRD, XRF, SEM, etc.) and is certified ISO/CEI 17025:2005. COREM is also an international leader in the development of iron ore products and processes including beneficiation, pelletizing and characterization.
